WHERE
Sanguine invests in selected emerging markets and developing economies in the Asia Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, Sanguine’s focus countries include Botswana, Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Senegal.
In the Asia Pacific, our focus countries include Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Mongolia, Nauru, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, and Vanuatu.


OUR LEADERSHIP

Christopher Leach has 30 years experience as an advisor and investment manager. He focuses on emerging markets in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia Pacific.
His core skills include, but are not limited to, infrastructure investment, cross-border structuring, international tax, and governance.
He was a partner at Deloitte for the Japan desk, and was formerly Director of Business Development for Asia at Crowe Horwath Asia Pacific Advisory covering 29 countries.
Christopher is a licence holder with the Qatar Finance Centre Regulatory Authority in Doha.
He also holds the globally recognised title of Chartered Tax Advisor. He is a member of the Australian Taxation Institute and a member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
Christopher has studied Business, Economics and Taxation at the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia.
HISTORY
We established Sanguine Impact Investment in 2007 and began investment and development of sustainable infrastructure in emerging markets and developing economies in 2015.
In 2020, we completed the expansion of our geographic footprint to include the Asia Pacific region for impact investment and in early 2022 we will complete the acquisition of a portfolio of 6 mid-stage renewable development projects.
In 2022, we are expanding operations with offices and on the ground professional in Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
