Sanguine Asia Pacific Services
Sanguine Asia Pacific Services is our dedicated project development and management company which manages each stage in a project’s life cycle including origination, development, design, construction, engineering, finance, operation and maintenance, asset management and performance optimisation.
We provide all operational activities and project management services on behalf of the Sanguine Asia Pacific Renewable Energy Fund and the Sanguine Infrastructure Protected Fund. Our 20 strong multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals has many years of experience working in Asia and Africa, working closely with local partners, Governments and communities and has a proven track record in sustainable infrastructure development.
We are highly experienced in structuring different types of projects in various countries and negotiating with a range of stakeholders and draw on some of the most highly respected local advisers to work with our international business partners to provide optimised solutions.
Our on the ground teams provide for strong governance and oversight of our projects and work closely with our local partners and Governments to ensure successful project outcomes. Our strong relations with multilateral agencies provides our local teams the ability to bring these agencies to work effectively with the home country Government where there is a need to resolve complex local issues.
We have personnel located in Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Asia Pacific Renewable Energy Fund
To reach the aspirational target of 23% renewables in the region’s primary energy mix by 2025, Asia Pacific countries will need to substantially scale-up their deployment of renewables in the power sector. The ADB estimates that Southeast Asia alone needs an estimated $210 billion annually for investments in climate-resilient infrastructure—with a public financing gap of 50-60%.
Sanguine’s Asia Pacific Renewable Energy Fund is a US$250 million equity fund focused on investment in mid stage renewable energy projects in emerging markets and developing economies in the Asia Pacific region.
Targeted investment in mid-stage renewable energy projects is the catalyst to create community benefits, enhanced social infrastructure and local jobs while addressing carbon emission and climate change.
Infrastructure Protected Fund
Sanguine’s Infrastructure Protected Fund is a US$1 billion fund focusing on providing project finance and equity to qualifying commercially operational infrastructure projects with high impact for delivering community, social, climate change benefits in sub-Saharan Africa.
Our strategy is to build sustainable and resilient communities while delivering the targeted annualised net IRR in a manner consistent with the social purpose of the fund. We achieve diversification geographically through a range of projects and apply a mix of debt and equity financing over the life of the fund.
We work closely with the world’s leading institutions, sovereign wealth funds, development banks, pension funds and other financial institutions. We also work closely with the World Bank Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency on selected projects, and apply the International Finance Corporation’s Sustainability Framework and Environmental and Social Performance Standards.
